The Nitty Gritty is Madison’s Official Birthday Place! It is a family-friendly restaurant and bar that has been a campus tradition since 1968. Patrons receive a FREE memento mug on their birthday with free refills of tap beer or soda. The Nitty Gritty is home to the Famous Award-Winning Gritty Burger.
